Easy Breezy Hair

Hey Closet Freaks! Hope you all had a great weekend. So looking at my calendar I realized this week is going to be the start a busy upcoming season. Closet Freak has a lot of new things coming your way; and if you're like me, school is just around the corner. With such a busy schedule I am always looking for fresh and fast ways to save time getting ready in the morning. Luckily, I found a few funky hairstyles that are quick, easy, and chic; so you have one less thing to stress about.

Twisted Side Bun

Step 1: Make a deep left-side part, and gather the top section of hair from your forehead to your crown. Apply a squirt of texturizing spray, then roll the hair away from your part to form a tight twist.

Step 2: Pull the rest of your hair into a low pony behind your left ear. Separate into two sections. Twist one section and wrap it around the elastic to make a small bun. Leave the hair in the other section loose.

Step 3: Pin the ends of the small bun against the back of your head. Next, twirl the rest of your loose hair into a twist, and wrap it around the outside of the smaller bun; pin the ends underneath.

Fishtail Braid

Step 1: Part hair down the middle, splitting it into two equal halves.

Step 2: Pull a small strand of hair from the outside of the left section (close to your left ear).

Step 3: Weave the strand of hair over the left section and under the right section. It should end up near your right ear.

Step 4: Repeat with a strand of hair from the right side. Weave it over the right section of hair and under the left section.

Step 5: Keep repeating these steps until you reach the end of your hair.

Step 6: Secure with a hair tie and you’re all set!

Braided Ponytail

Step 1: Use a comb to make a deep side part and remove tangles.

Step 2: Start French-braiding a three-inch piece of hair at the full side of your part. Continue down your head.

Step 3: Pull the rest of your hair into a low side ponytail, leaving a two-inch piece of hair (might need to be larger, depending on the thickness of your hair) outside of the ponytail.

Step 4: Wrap the piece around the top of your ponytail, securing with a bobby-pin.

Step 5: Spritz with hairspray for hold.

Knotted Pigtails

Step 1: To add height, tease the hair in front, then spritz it with a flexible hold hairspray.

Step 2: Split hair in two from the back, then take each section and separate into two pieces.

Step 3: Twist and tie hair in knots (like shoelaces) and repeat until you get to the end.

Step 4: Use a heavy shot of hairspray at the ends to hold the style.

Messy Yet Flirty Bun

Step 1: Create a super-loose loop by pulling hair back and tucking the ends to the side.

Step 2: Twist two corkscrew-shaped pins into the sides of the bun. So much easier than painstakingly pinning each strand.

  • You should! And then send a pictrue! only if you wanted to of course. I was thinking it would be fun to have everyone who wanted to send me pictrues of themselves with this style or what they do with their hair even if it’s short, because I Love to celebrate all kinds of different beauty, hairstyles and lengths:)
